–BET+ to officially enlist among the video streaming services starting for September 19th

In accordance with the initial speculation at the start of this year summer, BET is finally getting it’s own streaming platform, namely BET+, and will reportedly launch this month, September 19th. Also, information reaching us suggest that the service will be ad-free and will only cost $9.99 per month, around the same price as that of Netflix.
For a start, BET+ informed that it will host more that 1,000 hours of content, and all will be available for watch on its respective app for both iOS and Android alongside other variety of other streaming devices.
Lest I forget to mention, Tyler Perry will be playing a major role in BET+, while the streaming service will be the official home of the filmmaker’s back catalog of work.
Apart from that, there will also be stand-up specials from comedy giants likes Nick Cannon, Lil Rel of Get Out fame and Saturday Night Live alum Sasheer Zamata, among others. Moving forward, the service says it plans to launch a new original production “almost every month” over the course of its first year of availability.
As for BET+, it will be joining the bandwagon of the already existing streaming services among others that will be launching this fall; the likes of
Disney+ and Apple TV+ are also coming later in the year.
Of course, the service has a lot to do for competition especially if it intends to stay relevant for a long duration.
