Enrique Lores Appointed As HP’s New CEO


HP has appointed a new CEO Enrique Lores as the Company’s new CEO comes after the announcement that the company’s current CEO Dion Weisler will be stepping down “due to a family health matter”.

The New CEO would take charge fully from the first day of November 2019. According to a press release made by the brand, Weisler will be a director on the company’s board until the next annual stockholder meeting, which should be in April 2020.

Weisler who would be stepping down from the position has been the CEO of the company for 4 years since his appointment in 2015 when the company had a split into two halves a PC and printer business known as HP Inc., led by Weisler, and an enterprise services business called HPE, led by former HP CEO Meg Whitman, before she stepped down as CEO to Co-found Quibi short video platform.

Lores who would be stepping in as the new CEO has been with the company for 30 years, as an Intern Engineer.

In 2018, he was part of the team that led the creation of the zero-gravity printer design for spaceship station.
